MIDWAY GARDENS THROW
In 1913, Frank Lloyd Wright received a commission from Edward Waller Jr. to design an entertainment complex called Midway Gardens (Chicago, IL). For this project, Wright wished to blend landscaping, music, sculpture, painting, and architecture. This design was used for the mural on the south wall of the tavern room. The mural was known as “City by the Sea”.
